fucking people in fucking carparks

Featured Replies

so the polo i currently drive has survived 25 years managing to only get one small ding in the rear quarter...

I've had it a week, park it in a shopping centre car park for half an hour, and come back to a fresh little dent half a foot from the other one, with a nice blob of blue paint in the middle.

REALLY fucking annoying..

The exact same thing happened with my other polo, it had a few already when i bought it, but the lovely crease along the length of the car now looks more like a ribbed condom.

what annoys me is that modern cars don't seem to get it much, which says to me that people see an older car (in this case, it's in amazing condition) and don't think it matters. I've seen someone intentionally resting his door on a vw caddy once, getting out of his car.

People are cnuts.

what's more, i just spilled coffee on my crotch.

 that last post made me laugh

True - Some drivers are an a***oles. They probably sees - oh its a old car. And probably dont give a damn about it.

Couple months ago i managed to tape someone damaging other persons quarter pannel with own car in shopping centre parking.

So i wrote down a time and licence plate, and told the owner about it.

what annoys me, is that i would never do it to somone else's car out of the fact i know how much it costs to have a car already without somone damging it and that i love my car. people in general are just arseholes, if someone does it to me and i have the oppourtunity i will politley raise my foot to theirs nice people!

I had an older gentleman in a blue Astra open a door into my old Mk2 once, he didn't even look at it and I was IN the car at the time! Thankfully it only left a small mark that rubbed off.

If i ever see anyone damage my car, i will just wait till they walk off and give one of their panels a real good kick. Cant stand people who dont care about other peoples cars, i've had so many parking dents on all my cars from doors. The worst was my old MK3, where someone actually ripped my front bumper off while it was parked, leaving a big scuff and snapping the brackets on the left side :x

^

I park accross 2 spaces in supermarkets.

I do too mate, or if i'm feeling lazy, or its raining heavy, the parent and child bays :ninja:

I never like to park across two spaces makes me feel like someone will just key its or something.

My sister and I were coming out of tesco a few months ago to find a scrubby woman in a beat up fiesta resting her door on my sisters 56plate 3series. I shout "mind your door, thats how bloody cars get damaged" she said sorry very quitely, luckley there was no mark.

I hate car park dings though, my car suffered alittle when I started driving to college.

I was at the vets the otherday, sat in our car while my mam took the dog in, a nurse came out to her new car, flew the passenger door open, it wacked against the car next to her, she put her stuff in the car, shut the door and never batted an eyelid. Wound me up!!

Was I the only person to expect a thread about dogging? :ninja:

This. I had a bitch fight with some bird who flung her door against my brother's VXR, scratching the paint as she loaded it up wwhilst the door stayed rested against it, and she didn't give a shit. An apology would've done even though it was deliberate but no, she wanted to defend her action. So I just kicked her front wing in, much to her horror. And I didn't give a shit as I got in the passenger side and he drove off.

Its about respect, above all.

i had some one who managed to push my whole arch back to standard after i rolled and stretched em to fit wheels

couldnt work out why it was rubbing on way home and didnt when i went out

then noticed the white paint all the way down the rear 1/4

wasnt happy

I have my own private space at Asda that nobody else ever seems to park in. its up a corner and bigger than all the rest, effectively is 2 spaces, its right next to the footpath into the store. Perfect

But yeah, i paint my car, manage not to do anything to it for 3 years then some plank scuffed my rear quarter the other week... Bellends that cant drive :(

Sounds like the huge builder who dented my camry with his cavalier's door while I was sat in it eating my dinner. He didn't give a shit and I didn't bat an eyelid.

Until hometime, when all his windows fell in.

That's the only reason I clicked on this. Still managed to read all the comments before realising the reason I went onto this thread was only mentioned once.

i had this with my loon i was just getting back in my car at a petrol station some bint in a blue clio opens here door onto my car and dents it i got out and asked her why she had done it she told me to f**k off so i casually got back in my car opened the passenger door with my foot against it and pushed it into her car leaving a lovely dent she went mad i told her to f**k off and drove off

I did realise the potential for dogging jokes a little after posting =P

why oh why doesnt this not surprise me?

had this so many times. some stuck up dozy bint swung her door open onto the G in sainsburys one day whilst i was sat in it. wound the window down to enquire why she thought her actions were acceptable and damaging my car was ok and got a snotty look and no reply. needless to say when i drove away, there was a nice key mark on her snob wagon.

whats good for the goose is good for the gander after all ;)

Just a suggestion - buy one of these:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TYRE-VALVE-REMOV...=item231866ffbb

hang around for a bit for them to leave the car, take the valves out of all their tyres. No physical damage to the car but guaranteed to fuck their day. Oh and for the extra laughs put the valve covers back on.

Hahaha, might start carryinng mine on me

Dont get me started on this subject ,I've just kissed £120 away with getting Chips Away to sort out a dent on the quarter panel because of some ignorant idiot bashing in to it . The other thing I've noticed is when i park up i tend to park welll away from the other cars then when i return i find a couple of cars parked up next to mine when there is more than enough space to park up some where else and inevitably there is always a mark left on one of my panels just winds me up . :x

This. I have parked across 2 spaces before and some idiot has squeezed between my car and the one next to it (plenty of other spaces free, closer to the store), while i was sat there. I just showed by disgust, and moved the car, because there was no way he'd have got out without causing damage. I learned from that, and now park diagonally in 2 spaces, rather than straight.

Half the problem is that spaces are just too small. Standard minimum size is 2.4 metres (everyone use's the minimum size, as they can fit more spaces in)

A Ford mondeo, for example (the new one) is about 1.9 metres wide. Leaving just 25cm either side of the car (if its perfectly central in the space) to get out. That is not sufficient width to allow the door to be opened wide enough. Especially when you add in the fact that most modern cars have very thick doors due to safety requirements.

The standard minum size was probabbly fine in the 80's, but the size needs to be increased, now that a new Polo is bigger than an old golf, and a New Golf, is bigger than an old passat.

Pisses me off. Managed a year of using the Mark2 daily after it was painted and the last lot of car park dings were taken out, only to fill up with petrol the other day and notice a dent right on the swage line by the filler cap. Clearly someone who thought its just an old car.
