Red Polo GTI 5dr

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Been eyeing up Polo's and more specifically GTI's for a while now, not many around where i live and none atall for sale, but ended up finding this car about an hour away.

Lots to do on it, and even more to do than i was made aware of by the seller, however it would be a shame to let a nice car go to waste so i plan to renovate her back to full working order :-D

I'm probably alot younger than most of the users here, at 19 this is my first car however i do have a bike license and rode my 250 on the road for a year until it blew up so it's not my first vehicle.

Before i continue yabbering, here's the pics after i got her home:

There's a list longer than my arm of things to do, however outwardly thers only the black patch on the splitter to fill and paint, so thats good atleast.

So far my major list includes:

- Sort out door lock barrels (both just constantly turn)

- central locking doesn't work even though i can hear the pump when i open drivers door

- electric window regulators struggling

- back right door window handle just turns does nothing

- get a new headunit and fit aftermarket speakers as only 2 of the originals work

- make a boot floor and original is missing (not hard to do just kind of need it! )

Lots of other things to do but at the end of the day i paid 1k for it including the prev owner putting 6 months tax and getting an MOT done on it before i bought it.

Anyway, thanks for reading, my money is slow and far between but i'll update whenever something changes!

Cheers,

Matt
