Does anyone know where there are any spares/parts etc around the midlands? Need a new rear bumper and to get rid of this rusty tow bar thing going on. Or can you buy the bottom part and fit that?

And then some with the new wheels purchased the other day from a member on here, James? (TT Comps - Some like/some don't) But iLike :D When fitted, it became Polo 4 x 4 mode, so had to do something about it. Purchased Coils from PhilJ, soon as they arrive, I shall fit and upload some pictures on here.

Thanks, I shall look into them when the next pay date arrives. There's one by me so I'm sure I'll be going into there to see what they have. I can't wait to see it slammed too, bad thing is, I can't lower it too much, due to bumps at my work place are extremely odd and high :/

Another black more door woow! Who's breading them aha, I want 1 now lol. Looks fresh mate, TT comps polished were gonna be my winter wheels but money insues are a bitch aha. Keep it up, your aim to scrape off your drive ;p

Winter wheels? Polished too!? You'll be cleaning them every day with this weather haha.

Thanks dude, well I will be getting them refurbed in the future not just yet.

Yeah man, can't beat a set of polished wheels aha, I'm working on my splits atm for 2013, looking forward to seeing this low bud - what kit have you got?

Looks good on the comps man, what colour is that?

  • Author

Well I wanted these like a black chrome kind of look, but looking around I don't know what colour to do these next to be honest. Yours will look low and wide then with the bbs splits?

I got the TA Technix from Philj. Ordered them yesterday but due to funds, they'll prob wait a month to go on and get the tracking done the same time.

Thanks pal, they are silver matt kind of finish with a slight polished look. That doesn't make sense because I said matt but it is hehe..

Well they are OEM bbs splits so it will be low, but not that wide as others (sicx:p)

Get them to fit the Coilovers without the helpers in. So it's alot more adjustable, but it's dependent how low you want to go on the back then you could leave the adjusters in but I've taken them out ATM..

Love TT Comps! What size tyres you got on? Look very similar to mine

I heard that you have to let them set in a bit before you take them out or something? Don't really know what the helpers are (haven't searched tbh) but pretty much says it all 'helpers' ha. What coils have you got?

Thanks! They are 205x40x17's. When fitted on car, they look great, now i keep looking at the rear of the car and they look small. Might just be me though, would be good if they made these wider haha.

Yes mate as the main spring is alot stiffer so it takes ages to settle :/, but it's the smaller spring that is separated from the main spring by a platform, remove that platform and the helper spring wind up the Coilovers platform and fit. I have ta's too mate, make sure that when fitting the little cone that comes on the top is fitted underneath the factor topmounts. Sorten droplinks will be needed if you go so low. 2003 Mondeo droplinks fit, I've had ta's and there already bust after 4 weeks shockin, they also scrape on the inner arch so just chop the thread down and it should be alright, need to sort mine out with alot of other things aha, if you need any help holla me!!

Oh youve got slightly wider tyres, I'm running 195x40x17! strange size and cost me a bomb for tyres

Ah so are these not that good liam? :/ espesh after 4weeks! The coils scrape on the inner arch, that's some weird stuff, thought these were alright for budget ones. The above kinda makes sense, I will get a better perspective when I see the coils I suppose. Didn't get a chance to use my coils for my previous ST, so not too sure on the above haha. Did you remove the helpers straight away then? Or let the coils sink in a bit, then took them out..

@Wilson

Yeh the tyres still look stretched on mine though, if wider tyres, I think they'd scrape in the inside of the arch tbh.

oh right? good job i do have stretch then! got some 5mm spacers on back aswell (Stance ;)

  • Author

Have you got any piks of the back, near the arch at all ?

Only the droplinks catch mate, nothing else the coilovers are good but if you take the helpers out its so bumpy :/ but it's all for a good stance :p,

I fitted them and it wasn't low enough so I took the helpers out, but I had to take everything off again to get them out, give me a shout when you get them.
