Mk5 (6n2) 1.4 Tdi - BEST CAR EVER

Featured Replies

My sister is selling her beloved Mk5 Polo

Its a 2000 X reg, Metallic Black, MOT 'til November with 180,000 miles and going up by about 500 a week, AND it has a 'leccy sunroof.

The gearbox requires the strength of Thor to operate, and some gears may not accessible by "granny shifting" only by "Double clutching like you should"

You can pretend it has a supercharger as it makes a whining noise. Unsure of the cause possibly tyre, possibly gearbox, probably trouble.

The inside, would be perfect for a horse enthusiast or self-sufficiency hobbyist or anyone who has a requirement for a quantity of wood shavings and hay.

The outside is very very muddy, but underneath it is definitely Black but whether this is still metallic is only an archeologists position to say.

The good bits:

It is the best muddy, broken polo for sale on the internet

It has been serviced annually for what I believe to be forever, and it has never actually broken down. Ever.

It has recently had 2 brand new tyres from a manufacturer that uses rubber and not chalk (Hankook I think)

It has the private plate X69 THH which will be included in the sale

We would like payment of £500 for it

Chelmsford, Central Essex

I will try and acquire photos of it once it has been cleaned, so you may be waiting for some while

Ok, Luckily I managed to get a professional photographer who owed me a favour round whilst I was at work.

The results of this are below:

As you can see, it's recently been cleaned

Any tax? How fucked is it? Does it smell more of horse or your sister inside? (The former aroma being less desirable).

I am led to believe it has RFL until November.

I would say on a scale of 9, it is about a 7 1/2.

As for the odour, It's not actually very pungent at all.

Bravo on your refreshingly honest advert, GLWS

Love the advert. Good luck on sale.

If it was closer i would just have to come check this magnificently poor car out. Who wouldn't?

Whoa there...

This is not a poor car, Dirty yes, Broken, probably. But poor? absolutely not.

Under the mud lies an absolute soldier of a vehicle, 180K and no breakdowns, 60mpg, electric sunroof.

Insults like that shall not be tolerated.

best ad i've ever seen GLWS

Hello all,

We have called time on the ownership of this automotive Gem, and it now must leave our Driveway, where my sister has dumped it.

the gearbox now, still doesn't really shift, and the whine of what I believe to be the thrust bearing on the clutch is... loud, Very loud.

it has MOT and TAX till October, and has now covered 186 thousand miles

also NEW HEADLIGHTS!!! those must be worth quite a bit? I also forgot to mention this has a Parrot MKi 9200 bluetooth setup installed, which is great.

If you are mental, and actually are interested in this car (I am sure with a clean and a fresh gearbox/clutch it would continue to never break down) I have some up to date photos including some of the interior (not for the shy types)

Lets get a bidding war started!...
