M reg polo (6N?) spares/repairs

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got this Polo at the beginning of winter as a winter hack but it's got progressively worse and is now undriveable so here it is for spares or repairs if you like. Think it's a 95 model.

Starts first time and runs good

MOT til Jun12

uprated headlight bulbs

It needs a new rear box for the exhaust, the front brakes are grinding so expect the pads need replacing and the front bearings need doing, passenger side definitely but not sure about drivers side. Also the thermostat housing leaks a little. Can be fixed as the head of one of the thermostat cover screws snapped off but you could drill it out and put a new screw in. Also 1 of the 3 bolts where the housing meets the engine has snapped so that needs removing and replacing. Easily done with a couple of nuts. It holds for a few weeks til the engine starts getting warm so i've been running it like this and just topping it up every few weeks as i only used it round town.

Would need to be traylored away due to the front bearing problem.
