G40 ATV gearbox with Gripper LSD

Featured Replies

Evening all, I have for sale a genuine ATV g40 gearbox with a DR Engineering gripper LSD,

the gearbox is fitted with longer 3rd, 4th and 5th gears to give an idea 70mph in 5th is about 2750rpm ( with original size wheels and tyres) abit too longer for me, so will have a higher top speed than a standard ATV which tops out at 153mph. I have a receipt somewhere from vw for a new gear set for £214 and a receipt for the diff at £600

I'm only selling because I've just fitted a Quaife diff to my spare gearbox which is now fitted instead of this so this one is up for grabs,

The gearbox has also had a rebuild before my ownership which I have no record of, I've covered roughly 1k on this box so the rebuild can't be more than 5k ago, gears select fine and very smooth, box is powder coated gloss black, gearbox will come with some Morris LSD oil, which I will check how much there is.

Grab a bargain at £650ono

Somebody must want an uber cheap ATV with a Gripper Diff,

will listen to sensible offers on this as it does need to go now!!!

A standerd ATV tops out at 153? Inflated figure surly, mine gets now are near that,

What's the top speed on this box?

I want this but haven't got that cash atm.. and i already have a stock atv box..

i've read somewhere that an ATV will do 153mph i personally have done it,

i'm unsure of the top speed of the box but i had 120 in 4th with another 1000 - 1500rpm to go, providing you have a straight and clear enough road i'm sure it would be higher than 153 but i can't confirm this.

@Vee-dub90 i'm sure we can make a deal with your stock atv box

thanks
