After my silly mk3 golf dying...

...I picked up a cheap 1L breadvan for £330 with 80,000 miles. I was intending on keeping it standard but after seeing some potential my plans changed. Had the car since November and just decided to post up about the rust bucket. It came standard other than some 6x9s on the parcell shelf :lol:

black front badge and clear side indicators later looked like this

Picked up budget ebay shocks and springs. sitting 80/80 with lots of rake :thumbsdown:

picked up some 15'' et37 4x100 volvo 440 wheels. Got the centers drilled out to 57mm and fitted them with 165/50/15s...

Eventually i cut the front springs down to about 110...

Got a mk3 golf splitter i had chopped it up and screwed it onto the bumper...

Picked up some mk3 golf heated leathers from a vr6. Need to get a loom and switch sorted. But i cut the frame leg and rewelded it and got them in...

Also have a mk3 golf vr6 leather gearnob that i took of my golf before it was scrapped. Cut down the the gear stick and put it on...

Just got a set of fully heated leathers to in the front of mine too;)

Was the vr6 gator and knob a straight fit part from cutting it down ?

Originals are so uncomfortable, best purchase yet.

I had to cut it down about 4 inches. Need to somehow fix it. keep changing gear and my hand flys off :lol:

Was far from sadly, had a large list of problems and terrible fitment on 14's :lol:. Did look pretty rad tho

with that theory that car was the best car ever. I know what you mean though, it gives the car character.

I'm guessing the Volvo wheels are from a 440, in which case the 440 used Renault under-pinnings along with 4 x 100 PCD hubs, so other than the centrebore being larger, they would be a straight fit :-). Offset shouldn't be too far off VW either, though usually on the ET40-something side of things.

Yes they came off a 440. Had to get the centers drilled out which cost me £160 for all 4 :thumbsdown: and yeh they are ET37-

picked up some new wheels. 7j revolutions arches took a beating to get them to fit.

currently rubbing alot on dips and bumps on shitty brittish roads :x . Alignment shims came in post and should be fitted in next couple days.

Lovely !

Rear arches look like they have been battered with a sledge hammer :shock:

Looked great on the Volvo rims :-)
