For breadvan 1.3 45A or 65A located near Portsmouth so if anyone's local and has an alternator I could buy that would be great if not its the expensive line of new :(

Just a thought its been brought to my attention on other electrical problems causing similar effect to seeming the alternator is bust. Certain blue wire which acts as a feed to tell the alternator to charge or the regulator may be blown. Any ideas? To me it was the usual alternator not charging (battery light comin on and eventually battery draining flat etc.)

that blue wire isnt a feed it just goes to the clocks to light up the battery light on the dash when the alternator isnt charging
