Anyone using the new site with any success? I'm struggling not to loose my temper with it, but I just can not seem to get on with it. There's no way to scroll through 'pages' of photos. Instead you have to scroll down, and wait for the thumbs to load up. Fine if you have a small number of photos, but I've got almost 700 and it's taking ages to skip back to the begining of the album. Am I being dense, or is it this difficult for everyone else?

It's a total abortion, I hate it, the old one was so easy to use "If it ain't broke don't fix it"

Has yours only just started looking like this?

Mine was fine yesterday, it did have a banner stating the new site would be in operation from 18/03 and that if you transfered there would be no way back to the old site (that actually worked!!)

I had that forced onto me months ago as a beta version, I've gotten used to it now but the only thing I miss was being able to copy image codes by hovering over an imagine rather than having to open it in a new page before you can copy the code.

Aye thats what I have. It tried to force the beta version on me, but opted out. Logging in today has meant I have to stay with this new shitty version. It's slow, crashes, clunky etc. I have a good mind to sack photobucket off all together now. And Matt, I agree, having to open up every picture to grab a link is a ball ache compared to the last version.

Bollocks!

Click on the "help" and send scathing feedback, that's what I did this afternoon.

I would sack it off, if I had'nt payed out in December for the unlimited storage :x

Just found a reply to my feedback

***The option to opt out is no longer available***

Its terrible.

Hard to use. And the videos when your trying to upload use a load of bandwidth.

Even uploading a 2meg jpeg seems to take twice as long as it did on the old good site :x

When they first put me onto the beta version, I switched back and a pop up box asked why, so I gave them feedback then. Nothing has changed. All of the advertising banners make the site slow too. They take ages to load up, which seems to delay the main site in turn. It's truly terrible now. If I wanted mot edit photos, I'd get photoshop. If I want slideshows, I'd use PowerPoint. Bag of bollocks!

Why can't dickheads stop fixing things that aren't broken? I haven't switched to the new pee bucket but I find the current site annoying enough already.

It seems like Club Polo is the only forum where the tech staff realise they have got a good, easy to use site, and have stuck with it rather than changing things for absolutely no reason.

stayed on the old one, but i think everyone gets the shit slow horrible new one some time this month? :-(

I did'nt opt for the new one, one day I was on the old site and there was a banner stating that from the 18th of this month only the new sh*te would be in use and if you swopped over now there would be no way back to the old site, then the next day I found I had been automatically transfered to the new sh*te

They offered it to me months ago, I said I hated it and gave all the obvious reasons why. They then tried to push it on me again and I sent a revised message to them reminding them of my previous communication. Now its forced on me, their promises of my preferences being kept on the new site were bollocks as far as I can see, so I'm now looking at other hosts.

I am the customer. They're taking the piss and i will take my choices - not be forced to put up with the shyte forced on me, as with everything else in this consumer world we're dragged through..

Just found another failing in this sh*te site, the bulk uploader has gone, so now you have to hold the CTL or Shift and click on the individual files, fine if your only uploading a few, I was going to upload around a 1000 and there's no way I'm going to sit here and click on each pic!!!

There is a new desktop uploader but it only works on vista, W7 & W8 and I'm running Xp

Click the first one, hold ALT + SHIFT and then click the last one, this highlights the first one, last one and everything in between.

its not the first time photobucket have updated and lost a load of good features and essentially launched a beta product on thier customers.

The current windows mobile photobucket app has some shocking flaws

- when viewing your phone photo library through the app, it always restarts at number 1 instead of the latest

- you cant scroll between pictures when you have one open, you have to go back out to the menu and back into the next picture

- you cannot perform multiple uploads in one action

the worst tool they ceased to support was the photobucket uploader tool on the pc which made it a doddle to get pics without loading a browser with a memory hungry rich content web page.

It's just painfully slow and clunky! I find this with more and more websites. As speeds are increased, developers seem to run more and more complex scripts on sites (i think :? ). All very well if you have fibre optics and new computers. But us here struggling to get anywhere near 8megs are left twidling our thumbs and beating our computers up.

Click the first one, hold ALT + SHIFT and then click the last one, this highlights the first one, last one and everything in between.

Thought there must be a way around that Cheers
