I'm looking for a replacement centre grille for the 16v from bumper.

All I can find (at a reasonable price) is a grille for a caddy, I know the caddy bumper is the same as the classic bumper, and that is similar in style to the16v bumpers.

The seller says it will fit the polo, but others say it doesnt,can anyone please confirm this?

As you can see it looks similar, so I'm in two minds , also, never mind the red paint, il obviously clean it off..

Totally different part numbers according to vagcat also the classic/caddy is slightly wider at the front

Thats what I was thinking, but I thought maybe the grille was the same. I mean I know the bumper is wider, but maybe the grille is the same, at least size wise?

I guess maybe I will just buy it ans see if it fits.

Has anyone else try it?
