Matt's 6n2 GTI

Featured Replies

Car Started out standard, lowered on RX2s which were pepperpot white with a polished lip, although it saw this look for about 6 months it was safe to say I was bored!

I then got hold of these:

They came in gold with gold bolts, 7.5 and 8.5 front and rear. This was far too big to run on the polo so I've switched to 7s all round (pictured). Gives a much more subtle look I think!

Spent the whole summer sourcing bits and getting these refurbed in Anthracite. By the time it was all done it was roughly October which saw the car looking like this:

Safe to say I was over the moon with the improvement! The car stayed like this for 2 weeks (It saw GTI fest at 'Pod) and then back to the winter mode on the RXIIs. Over the winter I've added red grill tape, a K&N Typhoon kit and a custom hidden exhaust, so its a bit noiser (not too much, kept the tone as low as possible) and has a bit more umph.

This weekend saw the car looking back in its prime with a quick wash and the wheels back on!

The car had been up and down at this point so its settled back down now.

Plans for the summer are to hopefully lower it 5-10mm more and get hold of a cheap leather colour concept interior in black.

Also just got hold of a cheap Momo Team 280 and some LED side lights that'll be fitted :)

Also, I'll chuck some decent pictures in too!

Comments welcome, thanks for looking

No real massive updates other than I've fitted my Momo Team (with persuasion may I add!)

Everyone moans about the air bag coming off as a 2 hour job, that took 10 minutes. Getting the boss on with persuasion took an hour and a half!

I'll get some pics from my phone on that soon :)

Went to EE today, polished the wheels yesterday and just gave it a wash with a once over from AF Finale detailer.

Cheers guys, really appreciate the comments!

The wheels are being a pain to polish so I'm going to go Stainless I think, that'll push the wheels out to 7.5s but I think it will still work.

Got a stubby mirror I'm half way through painting and the plans are to knock another 5mm off the ride height, especially with the 7.5s just in case they rub!

A few interior touches then I think I'll be happy for the time being :)

Show and shine at Polo Show may have to be a possibility!
