My 1.3 is making a strange noise just on tick over and slight increase of reeves . but when its warm it does it all the time . its a bit worrying :(

The winey noise? Could be one of your belts, like your alternator belt?

It could be:

1) As above.

2) Water pump.

3) Alternator.

Suggest that you use a 'listening stick' to pinpoint it - A length of dowel or a long screwdriver held against the above items, with your ear on the other end. Works wonders!

Mine makes same noise possibly bearings in tha alternator

Its had a new pump an belt on it recently .

my old 1.0 also made the noise not as bad tho but i put the newer alternator on form the 1.3 so I'm betting on that tbh .or a belt being to tight
