Replaced front wheel bearings on 6n

Featured Replies

I've got torque wrenches of various sizes, so i use one whenever i see fit. But i don't tend to bother on the front hub nuts - used to, but i know it's about right when the extension bar starts twisting..

Incidentally, whilst i never snap wheel bolts, i've had alloys for several years now on everything. Now got steel wheels and today i snapped a wheel bolt. Coincidence i thinks not. So having a feel for it is all very well, but having overlooked how the bolt heads are now closer to the hub it seems i shall have to use the torque wrench when i put the front wheels back on, so i can re-evaluate how tight they need to be..
