sounds worth it then, but if i pass, can i then insure my car and drive, then do pass plus, then notify my insurance company and they bring down my premium?

or would i have to pass, then do pass plus, before i insure my car?

yes you can pass, and then insure your car and then do your pass plus to bring down your premiums, but remember when you first insure it you'll be paying the full price, and once you have your pass plus they will either refund you the differnce if you paid a one off payment or bring your month payments down to compensate for the decrease in premiums, hope that helps.

cheers alex

thanks alot for the help!

thats cool hope everything goes alright for your test!!!

16 hours with 7 or 8 hours of driving my polo with my dad supervising!

i did bout 18 1hr lessons and went out in my car with my dad then passed my theory first time and did my test.

Passed 1st time with no minors but like they said, the real experience came with my first 6 months of drivin. gettin used to the roads and especially your own car. ( and now i got 3 points  )

you must have had previous driving experience though??

you must have had previous driving experience though??

Well when I was 15 I had to steal 50 cars in one night!! :)

only joking.!! :)

Well my sort of. Putting cars in and out of the garage and a few times driving round car parks. But we were introduced to cars at an early age so I guess alot of it we learned whilst growing up.

I had a lot of driving lessons because I had to wait ages for a test date. Probably about 20 two hour lessons lol - passed first time though

Passed my theory aged 17 and 2 days (34/35)

had 6 hours lessons and I have done all the manouvers. Got another lesson today

I only came back from what is probably my 19th lesson or so about 20 mins ago.

I'm paying 22 an hour, in a rover 200, but having said that he taught my brother to pass, now THAT is a stamp of achievement if there ever was one.

My theory was quite comfy though, about 32/35 on theory and 51/70 I THINK on hazard.

2 lessons - passed first time (it was easier back then). First crash 3 months later!

Nick

had my 6.5th hour yest. ""Close to test standard"" he told me

Cost me £460 to pass :)

No previous driving experience at all, 7 lessons (2 hours each) + 5 tests :D lol

*Edit - Passed 3 or so months back, also got nicked by police 2 days after passing :D wo0t

Way, way back in the mists of time, when lessons were £12.50 an hour, my Godparents sent me a cheque and said "go and get some driving lessons". About 50 hours of lessons and 3 tests later, I passed.

And 3 months later I killed a B reg Fiat using the back of the lorry in front of me at 50mph.

Now I've been driving 9 years I'm safe enough for a half decent car....... ;)

my first test fuck up was so not my fault the guy was a idiot, he made me nearly kill us.

everytime i hear that it makes me wonder - "aw my examiner robbed me" or words to that effect: the examiner can't really "rob" u - if he/she doesn't think u have showed test standard quality on that day, he wont pass u, simple - are they allowed to put u off btw? my examiner kept talkin about his holiday with his wife the previous week lolol

PS, 6 lessons (in four months)

80 x £20 = £1600!!!!

plus theory once and test twice, f*ck girl, more money than sense!

should have done a crash course :-p

Lol actually i got my lessons free as my stepdad is a driving instructor, so i took as many as i could, and my first test fuck up was so not my fault the guy was a idiot, he made me nearly kill us.

I had 12 1.5 hour lessons + drove my 1L squareback with my parents. Passed 1st time, all took 3 months.

I had 21 lessons iirc. On top of that I used to go out and practice with my parents every now and again.

Passed first time though.

The guy sat there sprawled all over the passenger seat like he owned it, window down with his arm hanging out, chewing his gum so loudly, and kept checkin himself out in the mirror, oh and spent most of the time checking out the local scenery instead of watching the me and the bloody road

beat this i took lessons for over a year some weeks i had two some i had 1

i took my theory twice and took my actual driving test five times i passed on the fifth.

how about that one then god knows how much i spent but it was well worth it. :-D

cheers ian.
