iv got my test in oct. but iv only had 3 lessions (1hr each) and I'm going on holiday. so il only have sept 2 practice.... easyyyyyyyy. the hardist part the theory was walkin up the stairs to the 3rd floor test center. i got 35 out of 35 and 69 out of 75.... do u reckon i can pass ina month??? id neva drvin a car b4 but i was doing main roads and rounderbouts by my 3rd????

I passed my test pretty quick i think, I did a lesson with one guy and didnt like him and didnt have another for about 6 months and then got a new guy.

After my first lesson I booked my theory, and passed it a week later with 1 questions wrong. Booked my practical the same day and passed it first time a month laterwith 4 minors. Only had a lesson a week so including my very first lesson I passed in 7 including the only before my test.

2 lessons with BSM

34/35 in theory

...and passed actual driving test first time with 8 minors (rush hour traffic!)

I took about 40-45 hours of lessons cos I didnt know how to drive before, couldnt get any prctice from anyone at home :-D cos they wwouldnt trust me

Oh well I passed theory first time, passed practical first time with 4 minors at the test centre with the worst pass rate in the whole UK :!:

I spent exactly £1,445.50 in 8 months.

I did about 7 lessons and my theory test and my dad put me in for a cancelation practical test to see what needed to be improved on and bugger me i passed with in a month! :-D

It also helped that i had a brand new car on my drive and when i started my practical test i made a mistake and thought i had failed so i relaxed and enjoyed myself which helped.

Have to agree with a few people that you only start learing when you are sat in the car by yourself with no one to tell u what to do, you learn from your own mistakes and grow in confidence.

Took me 11 lessons @ a tenner each :-)

I can beat that.....18 lessons at £6 each and 1 test at £20........

I got a good deal (abt £14 per lesson (4 yrs ago)) cos my instructors car was a rusty diesel maestro, which led to me getting minor faults from not going fast enough. Had the head regional examiner too, who didnt know the standard routes my instructor had been practising me on for 3 weeks previous, so i ended up down all sorts of unfamiliar roads. The only person more suprised at a pass than me was my instructor - he said the guy was a notoriously harsh git. I was well chuffed!

Then spent a few months learning what cars wont do - especially in the wet!

I'm payin 17pound for a 2hour lesson, and I've had 23hours and my test is this sat!!!

I passed 1st time after 11 hour long lessons

Passed theory first time too

was paying £21 a lesson so to get my license it cost less than £300 :)

Problem with me was i grew up around cars as my dad & grandad were car mechnics & i could drive when i was 12

but....by the time i took driving lessons, i already had bad habits & drove to fast

would have been 10 if i passed 1st time, btu i think it was nerves, i drove out the compund and sat with the handbrake on when there was a green light then tryed to go when it turned red! whoops

i had a further two and passed with 3 minors. but i knew how to drive a car long before i was 17, its the greated buzz you get when they say you've passed!

some people can just pick it up better than others it doesnt make you a better or worse driver it took me 12 hour lessons and i passed first time but then wrote off my car 2 weeks later so because i passed first time it doesnt make me any better a driver than someone who passes second or third or who takes 8 years to learn

i'm not too sure but alot, i took ages to book my theory and was having 2hour lessons a week (discounted though cause the instructers a family friend ) plus it was my dad paying so oh well. then when i passed my theory i had 2 wait 2months for a test and when it come it got cancelled due to fog!!so i had 2 wait another month, so 2 hours a week = alot! but i did pass with a clean sheet :-D

So did my independent instructor. And he was only £12.50 an hour.

Mind you, that was 9 years ago.

Onl y took me 8 lessons

i had about 18lessons and went for my test,..i would have passed but failed, because apparently i accelerated to a car that was pulling out of a side road into my lane ,..thing is i was doing 10mph then slowed down to 5mph and nearly stopped as he was pulling out,..just about to stop with lodsa space for him to get out n the instructer slammed the breaks on fuckin idiot,..everything else was perfect apart from that,..and then due to a waiting list i had another 20lessons b4 my re-test. which i passed with 4minors :-D
