I had 25 one hour lessons.

at buy 10 for £190 get one free (i did the deal twice).

passed first time, did you guys find your lessons harder than the test?

i rang some insurance companys about a week ago and loads of them say you can start out a policy before pass plus then you have 40 days (or so) in which to take it.

Took me approximately 30 lessons, passed first time with 1 minor.

However, I had, quite frankly, a buttload of practice in my polo.

19 hours under proper instruction, but I used to go out in the Polo with my dad on Sunday evenings, so I could have had nearer 40 hours of practice. Passed first time with 7 minors.

Failed the hazard perception, just didn't click enough. Got 34/35 both times on the highway code.

  • 3 weeks later...

um probably about 23 Lessons and 3 tests ^^

1st test - Mounted the kirb whilst reversing around a corner. Dipped kirb as well... was gutted but knew i had failed...

2nd test - I'm sure the instructor was having a bad day... Failed me for driving to close to car wing mirrors... when I couldn't exactly move when there was cars on both sides of the road... then tried to claim that I caused a woman to break suddenly behind me... (I didn't... the fact the lights changed to red caused her to stop )

3rd test - Passed with 3 minors and got told it was the best drive he'd seen in a while :)

Then to get cheap insurance went on to do Pass Plus - Easy enough to pass.. just don't cause a pile up and you're sorted :)
