Welcome to the sale of this immaculate Mk1 Golf Clipper Cabriolet, owned by my Mum!

It's a 1.8 8v with a freshly reconditioned Pierburg 2e2 carb, and many extras!

She is reluctantly selling her pride and joy as she's started a new business, and needs a van, so it is a genuine reason for sale.

The good bits!

Recent full service including oil, coolant and all filters!

Full respray in original Helios Blue 24 months ago, the paint & bodywork are in excellent condition.

Fully Waxoyled before winter and the car is rot and rust free.

Gear Linkage Mechanism upgrade with all new bushes last week!

Electric colour coded roof works perfectly, doesn't leak, and has no stretches, tears or rips. It has a heated glass rear windscreen too.

Starts first time, every time, (but can be a little slow on very cold mornings).

Very clean inside and is always looked after.

Immobiliser and alarm fitted.

Lots of niggly Mk1 issues fixed, such as dash lights being too dim, and bulbs blowing. All been upgraded to brighter green LED's, which still look factory, but are just brighter.

New brakes all round, including drums at the rear, shoes, discs and pads up front, as well as refurbished servo, and new fluid.

The number plate - G222 LBD. This is the original registered plate, but does look like a private plate, and led us to call the car 'Little Blue Dub' :)

The bad bits!

The car does not have power steering, so if you are buying this car, just be aware that the steering feels a lot heavier than modern cars.

It currently has standard steel wheels fitted. the sale does include the ATS Cups (which are immaculate [honestly, its as if they've just been taken out the box]). I can fit the Cups for you if you like.

In summary, it's a very clean, well loved and mechanically excellent car, in need of a good home. We are reluctantly selling but are open to offers.
