Will Polo 6N2 doors fit 6n?

Featured Replies

Hi

My car is a Polo 6N 5 door 1.4 16V

My drivers and passenger doors have rusted badly at the bottom of the door.

I have found some replacement doors (just the shells) that are the same colour - they are from a 6N2 Polo 5 Door 1.4.

Will the doors fit my 6N?

Are there any issues with attaching the windows/locks/trim?

Many thanks

The trim would be a problem because the 6n2 has holes along the bump strip the 6n's is just stick on

I have compared photos of both doors and they look the same (but I appreciate that is not a scientific approach) .

Any other views?

I would leave the bump strip on the 6N2 so I guess that would not cause an issue?

Do you think the physical dimensions of the door and fit would be the same between a 6N and 6N2?

I have a 6n and a 6n2 and i think they look the same length but my friends all say the 6n2's longer when I get home later I'll measure them for you if no one else has replied

Just a thought the door cards from a 6n2 fit onto a 6n so the doors must fit but the locks might be an issue I'll look at that too

That would be good if you could measure them.

I know that some parts changed between the car models, the front bumper, bonnet and rear door but not sure abouut the doors.

Regards

the doorcards from a 6n2 fit onto 6n doors with a 6n2 dash and a small bit of trim taken off, and they're the same chassis with a facelift so i cant see why not?
