I have a polo 6n I'm looking at getting 8J rims all-round. I want to slam the car as well will I need to roll arch's ? or will they be too big ?

Fitting them and them looking like they fit is two different things.

Rears fit but will need arch work to get to fit and if you want to "slam" the car you will need some more strecth and more arch work to do so. And the fronts not sure but with the rears poking a good bit I'm sure the fronts will be the same if not worse due to spacers needed to clear the coilovers

You haven't stated what diameter wheel your looking at. I had exactly what you are asking in 14'' and et20 on my 6n you could 'slam' the car but you'd need your rear arches rolled at least. The front you will be able to get away with but you'd most likely rub on full lock.

What size wheels and yes you can roll arches your self but the paint will crack as they need to be rolled as flat as possible and if there's any rust on them you will struggle

14"s mate and yeah I don't really know what to do then it comes to arch rolling

Heat gun but not to close and rubber mallet. You won't get them completely flat but it'll give you the clearance you need.

Search for archenemy on google I think it's around £90 for rear arches plus £10 for remove the seam sealer

Low but not so low I got tuck just want the tyres to sit up in the arch

I've got Schmidt modernlines on my 6n2, 8j all round et25 and had to roll all four arches,couldn't drive anywhere as the rubbing was so bad haha. I'm not really that low either. Arch rolling cost 160 squids and that was done by arch enemy.
