I was looking at the 6n2 bumper and was thinking would this fit on my 6n polo or would it need much modding to fit

You'll need to replace both wings and possibly the bonnet for it to match up with the bumper/front panel, but it has been done before have a look/search through the build threads

I don't mind putting a new tailgate on would it be a straight swap

They both need a lot of nodding to fit.

The front wil bolt straight on, but you would need a 6n2 front end, so front panel, wings, bonnet, lights etc.

The rear can be made to fit if you butcher your current one, but you would need a rear panel at the least, also you'd need a boot and lights too.

I did it on mine it's all rear panel and rear quarters are different I made bumper fit on car instead I have the bumper forsale if your intrested in it
