Good points:

Really pains me to be selling this as I love it and have done everything I needed to make it reliable and driveable. Would love to do another show season in it but I am relocating and so have no real provision for a second car in York.

1600 TP engine on stock twin carbs that has had a full top end rebuild over the winter. Stripped it back to the pistons and barrells which were in good condition. Sourced some 2nd hand heads that were checked and in perfect condition. Rebuilt up from there with all new gaskets.

It then went to Harry Harpics in Leigh-on-Sea where Paul serviced the whole engine, set up all the timing and choke etc.

Got a brand new Fuel Pump at this point as well.

Lowered but not slammed. Not very bumpy but the rear spring plates bottom out on big hits which is loud but not really an issue.

Completely solid. Some of the welding is not to a show-winning standard but it is perfect all over. Inner arches, spring plate mounts you name it, its solid.

Tyres are all very recent and seen less than 200 miles

Early low back seats

Brand new battery I have done about 3 miles on!

All on 1 key

All in all, it is a very solid and reliable Square. I really like it as it is clean enough to look nice and presentable but ratty enough to be able to just throw the seats down and sleep in the back. Just means you dont have to treat everything like a show winner.

Bad points:

As mentioned, the welding is not show winning and so there are a couple of different paint colours on the interior. (some red oxide where stuff has been done and the original green)

Paint was homedone by a previous owner so it is far from perfect. Some orange peel and a couple of bits look brush painted but it is all fresh.

The diff bearings are quite loud. you can hear them in the lower gears but you get used to it. I chatted to Paul @ Haryy Harpics about it and he wasnt concerned at all. Said they are pretty bulletproof so confident they will keep going for ever. If you rev the tits out of it in reverse it occasionally pops out. Would only really notice if reversing too fast.

No Speedo cable attached. One brand new one included in sale

Pass window is a bit scratched

Pass indicator is cracked and I have patched it together with duct tape. Not very pretty but does the job and I will be looking for a replacement as I go so it might be sorted by the time it is sold.

Or PM on here

Square is kept under cover/in a barn so next time it is not cold and wet I will get some pictures of the usual rust spots to show how solid it is.
