I'm pretty sure all 6n2 have then as standard. But if it for some reason doesnt, then it would be a case of getting wires from the light connector to the front panel connector and then from near the fusebox to the switch.

I've got a gti and I've got the motors in the lights but no switch in the car next to the headlights switch

They are self levelling.

ok thanks

As above, they use a sensor on the back suspension to guage the weight in the boot and adjusts the lights accordingly. I think you can Still fit a switch, and I would think the connector is tucked up behind the dash somewhere.

will that still work if I've fitted coilovers?

also where is best place to get new cogs for the beam adjustment?

If you lower the car then you will have to adjust the lights again.

If you mean the adjusters on the lights, what I did was cut the plastic holdrts off of some spare normal lights and took them out, then heated them up and used a bit of lube and they slipped right in.

Failing that, then the easier way is to remove the lenses, and then adjust them by moving the reflector part with your hands. Then take them off again and refit the lenses.
