Nevada Beige Mk2 Jetta C B reg

Here we have a B reg Nevada Beige Jetta C, which I bought intending on doing a mini resto on but never have any time to do so needs must...

I bought the car back in January off a fairly local chap which didnt really know much about the car, other then it was parked up for 8 years and the reason for it coming off the road was his mother needed a more modern car to commute in.

Engine is a 1.3 8v with a 4 speed gearbox, I have turned the engine over by hand and it turns over freely, i haven't cranked it with the key though, i'd say the engine would need the gaskets and seals replacing if you wanted to use that engine. i was going to replace it with the 16v KR i have in my shed (which is also for sale, or could be sold seperatly with the car)

Brakes will need a complete over haul as they're most likely seized, and the visible brakelines are heavily corroded/perished, and has the poxy solid 239mm bottle tops so arent really up to much anyway!

Suspension seams ok, i was just going to chuck coilovers on anyway so again wasn't too bothered about that, as for bushes/mounts i'd say they would need looking for MOT, my guess would be they're perished and dead...

Chassis/Underbody is solid and really quite clean, as are the inner arches! There is some surface rust underneath but would only take a wire brush and a patch of underseal and would be fine, the only main concern on the car is the battery tray which will need replacing and as everybody knows is common, even on the cleanest of Mk2's!

Interior, personally i was going to replace with the full brown interior and beaded seat covers to go with but i guess this interior could be steam cleaned/washed and still used...

The car on the whole is a really cool example, with every peice of glass, except the windscreen, being factory (all etched) as are the headlights, and rear lights although sadly one is damaged :( also still has the option sticker in the boot, and is poverty spec as hell, which in my opinion is the best! Also the clocks are showing as little as 56k! I think this car would be awsome with the right owner which has the time to get it back on the road!
