No BMW was expected to be slow, but a completely standard Micra with say an LS1 engine in.... thats a sleeper to me

No, but you'd expect something big of it it just looked like it was packing something, a sleeper in my eyes is something that shows no signs of been fast like that rover...

When i saw the pic of the Rover 100 i knew it'd be a 1.8, but i was expecting the 160bhp TF engine that most people used..

I agree. You really would not expect that Rover to be fast.

exactly and a fully standard mk1 yeah fair but a mk1 with big race wheels says its race down the side and just gennerally looks like a power house nah not sleeper, it's a track car in an old shell

But Rovers are too known to be a sleeper. Why would any young male drive a bog standard rover?! After seeing one of my friends old 1.8t rover, never again will I look at one and expect it to be standard. Plus there's literally none in my area.
