Hello,

Been on club polo for the past three years in that time iv had a little 6n polo Which Danny_Braggins now owns, and also iv owned a 6n2 GTI (which i may of blown up the gearbox on)

now its time for my latest project/car its a 1967 beetle. iv had 2 previous beetle which none of worked and with lack of space and time haven't been able to finish them so thought i would buy one that works and make it my own.

Spec-

its a 1967 LHD european import steel sun roof model.

engine is a 1914cc running through a 1500 Gearbox

the front has a 4inch narrowed beam, drop spindles with air shocks and 2.5 gallon tank with compressor

the inside in pretty much original with a few little extras

running on 1950’s steel wheels 4j by 15” with white walls

few little accessories (sun visor, wind deflector, US spec bumpers)

my aim is to mix the traditional cal look with resto cal.

Cal look for the big engine, rake stance created with big rear tyres and lack of bumpers.

and the resto cal for the slammed front end (acheived with the air shocks) chrome detailing and accessories

Time for the pictures few pictures from wheels day and from my first drive after passing MOT

brakes needs doing urgantly

also fitted my T-bars (need to order the rears)

not had much of an update on this as waiting for parts to arrive etc.

me and my mate went out and did a photoshoot with my beetle and his mini clubman (ignore the trade plates)

had some fun today hand polishing my wheels, had these wheels three years now they were painted white when i first got them took forever to polish tme by hand .. front brakes need some smaller pins which is why i couldent fit them :(

got the backs fitted though .. :D:D

i think the steels make it blend in with every other beetle.. rearly see the EMPI 5's any more

The EMPI 5's change the whole look of the car the resto-cal look will look great with the drag racey cal-look. i love the steels but they blend in with all the other beets out there. And it's super quick for what it is too! This car looks ten times better in person. One thing though Gelstharp...fix that heater
