Sanblasted 4 branch ready for painting

Painting ? It will get so hot, it will come off

not if done with exhaust or high temp paint ..

Some times paint will widthstand heat.. Theres some paints what have high temp properties anyway

HT paint can withstand temps up to 650°C

Paint everything in that wrinkle paint, just make sure you do the whole car!

Yeah, high temp paint will be fine.

I know this as I have used it on the centre and rear section of mine , but the manifold gets a lot hotter don't it. We will see any way won't we :-)

my painter said it should be fine, so i hope so.

Id be suprised if the paint stayed on :s stainless 4-2-1's get twice as hot as a standard manifold, something different though :)

can i ask where you got the ht leads from and the dome bush for selector shaft :)

Also why you keeping the 4 speed gear box ? I assume you are since you have powder coated a 4 speed arb

Thats actually the arb out of the coupe s that fits perfectly around my 8P gearbox.

O I see , that's good , I was told a 5 speed arb would be needed , but thinking on it i thinks that's anything pre mk2f . Any way as long as it all fits :-)

When i took the engine out that was the arb that come out, so i hope its okay

I was lucky enough to buy them off a bloke from here with the discs, my others were smashed to bits and really rusty would be ashame to leave the old ones on
