Thought I'd share some pics of my polo after I attempted to detail it today while the weather was nice and warm :)

Need new plates.. Anyone recommend anywhere to get blank ones from? (no dealer info etc)

Will be getting it lowered on 23rd of April, can't do it before as insurance will not permit! Deciding between 60/40 and 80/60.

Yep lovely mk2 m8. Liking it a lot! I agree get rid of that blue VW sticker. Really ruins the originality of the car. I mean cmon we know its a VW lol LOOK AFTER IT :)

Regarding the stripe missing on the wing, maybe ask around at a local body shop, they normally have contacts of companys thatll make stickers/vinyls

for cars they'll be working on, sure they could nock you something up to match!

Insurance is sorted for 23rd now and will be lowered on 80/60 philj kit on that date. If he gets back to me.

the 80/60 is a good shout as i will soon be going down from my 60/40. the front just looks to high on my one atm.

keep an eye on my thread in the next fue months as my gt engine is nearly ready to be dropped in and the hell of wires will take over.

In the next month I'll be lowered and on BBS Mahles :)

Getting the lip bit polished and not sure yet what I'll be doing with the centers. Not sure on colour.

Haven't had the arch trims off or anything but I can't see any signs of bubbling around them.

Bought a lowering kit!

Opted for 80/60 philj one, awaiting delivery and hoping to get it fitted next week.

Safe to say that I'm pretty excited.

So, an update!

Got my Polo lowered! :)

Pretty happy with it, still needs to settle, been advised it will drop about another 10mm once it has fully settled.

Either way I'm very happy to have got rid of the 4x4 stance I had before!

Struggling to think of ideas of what else to do on the exterior.

Any ideas?

I doubt I'll bother but I've considered the red bumper insert and wondered if it'd be too much - now I'm totally gonna go for the red inserts.

Yours, I like the wheels, but I think they'd look better either diamond cut like Fiat Uno MK1 Turbo.i.e wheels or even just silver..?

Great interior, refreshing compared to the dark ones.

I love the red bumper inserts, much prefer it with them in my opinion. They're just the black ones that came with it sprayed by a local bodyshop for a tenner.

I bought the wheels from a guy on here, they looked a little lighter in the pictures but the colour has grown on me since having them. I have got the BBS Mahles to get refurbed, pretty sure I want polished lip but not sure on centre colour yet. Was thinking black but looking at others it doesn't show the spokey detail up as well. So considering red now.

Any suggestions on colour choice for the mahles?

Not done any new mods for a fair few months now... So there is money for some new ones!

One of my mud flaps came off and broke when i had to get down a kerb - so that needs replacing, or just take them all off?

Really fancy some new wheels too.. got the original hocks, the compomotive th monos as pictured and a set of bbs mahles (need refurbing still..) but not really feeling any of them at the moment!

Paintwork is still pretty much mint, interior still standard

Any ideas people???
