I have osram nightbreakers in my 6n. Best you will get without a hid kit. £16 a set I think

I'm also looking to replace my headlight bulbs! i dont know what is legal and what isnt! Osram is a company that sell decent bulbs.

Osram "nightbreakers" are good quality bulbs with much better light output then standard lights

I have nightbreaker plus which has slightly better stats then the normal nightbreakers

Around £15-18 for a pair... Very good standard upgrade from the candles vw supply

Just found the nightbreaker ones (the H1 and H7) for around £10 each on ebay with free postage, thanks pal!

From my experience, the nightbreakers are good bulbs, but I wouldn't use them with the standard wiring, as in my car they burnt out three times in 2 months. But when I ran a new relayed harness they didn't blow and they where a lot brighter. It's mainly a grounding thing on Vws part.
