You need the big washers on mate, they're slightly larger than the hole in the TCA for the bush, if not the bush can pull out the arm when you accelerate/brake :(

what harris says.. and you don't want them cupping the bush.. they should bend away from them

yer i forgot mine and the ARB popped the bush out and sent me flying towards a wall.

there were two types of skimark that day.

Flying in a polo? Retrofitted wings bro!

Good point mark, seen some are flat and some are rounded also!

I found some nice replacements actually, think they're off a defender damper or something.

It's also nice to read about people tightening bushes at ride height to avoid preload, good practice there.

Ideally anything bush wise should be done at ride height, if you have a bush at a certain rate, and torque it up at full suspension droop (full rebound) then when the car is at its actual ride height it twists the bush putting a lot of preload into it, which is going to essentially make it stiffer in compression than rebound, and it's compression rate higher than it would be relaxed, but also reduce its life.

Varies slightly with stuff like Poly bushes, but ideally same principle applies.

Have torqued my ARB blocks, ARB & inner TCA bushes, rear beam & rear lower damper bushes all at ride height.

You could also put the axle stands under the TCAs so the suspension compresses but you can get under to get at things to tighten them.
