doesnt look identical but if you recon itll fit ill try it, i think mines a hh engine whatever that means (I'm new to this)

essentially there are two types. one for the earlier mechanical head engines (pre 1986) which has an angled base plate part as in the link above. the other type has a perpendicular base plate and is on the other end of the head. there are different looking ones for each fitment but they all work the same.

ok thanks, yeah mines a b reg 85' model, and its on the same end as cam belt if this helps? if you think itll fit ill run it, as mines packed up earlier

IF you have a local GSF store they will be able to help plus get a photo of it and we can help you get the correct one

I have a used spare early pump on the shelf. I don't think I'll ever need it to be honest.

Cool I got a HK head going on a GT bottom with twin 40's trying to find out whatt sort of power i'm going to get

both my mh and hz engines have the hydraulic head and i think the 2g does too but never heard of an nu. those are the wrong ones for the op's engine

Think the NU was the emissions-controlled adaptation of the MH for the American market.

Which probably goes to show I do need to get out more.....

hi all, thanks for the offers, I've now sourced a brand new 1 for 25pound which fits, thanks for all the help. and yeah my engines the same as the 1 in that picture, all be it a lot more dirty and standard.
