Horrible scum, happened to me few years back. Ended up slicing my hand open on the glass while driving it home too.

First lesson never leave anything on show in you car, especially an older car. Only time I've ever know anyone have an older coupe broken into was my brother leaving his stereo in there.

Yep NEVER EVER EVER LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE CARE ESPECIALLY VISIBLE. I've left my polo coupe s's with no alarm parked overnight in London, Glasgow, all over diffirent citys. Not got broken into because nothing was left on show. Doesn't help you are cause saying this I know and really sorry for u bud. Hate thieves!!!!!!!! Just don't leave anything in you are car from now on. Car is still ok so lesson learnt put it behind u.

Youll be finding glass for years. My merc had the windows done in 04, still find bits of glass when I'm vaccing it. Unlucky that mate, once you see some nice person in your shoes you might have an inkling on who it is though!

Pretty gutting when that happens, but with all of those items on show i wouldnt have been surprised at all. Theives are opportunists and if they can see something they will try and take it. I never leave anything on display in mine for that reason. As for alarms, decent quality ones cost a load of money, so i wouldnt bother going for anything expensive. Just one of those cheapo shock sensing ones should be enough to scare anyone off.

I would just buy some alarm stickers to put in windows should put people off.

yeh a sticker and a wee flashing led n you are sorted.

I got this installed on my m4 golf. Works brilliantly and even alarms before someone actually breaks in (eg. if someone touches/leans on it. Or if they peer through a window!)

Works perfectly too :) http://www.clifford.co.uk/Products/CliffordG5.aspx
