Having a huge clear out of all my split rims because I don't currently have a car, and unfortunately think I will be moving away from the VAG scene soon, until I can afford to have a mk2/mk3 golf project on the side, tucked up in a garage!

So I'm selling these 16" 3-piece Splits. These are an all time favourite wheel of mine, and still seem to be reasonably uncommon in the show scene (probably due to their prohibitive cost when new!). These were purchased new for just over £1900. They were then fully polished, and fitted with Toyo Proxes T1-R (195/45/16 up front, and 225/40/16 on the rear) at a cost of over £340.

I have a receipt for the wheels for €2108.00 when they were purchased second hand and imported. The tyres have covered very few miles and still have great tread. One of the wheels has a big curb mark. I have purchased two spare dishes to replace these. The wheels need a good polish to bring them back up to show condition, which I will do when I get a chance. Here are some rubbish photos for now. They are shown with Revolution centre caps, however they will come with brand new Schmidt dome centre caps in a choice of gold or silver. Some of the bolts are looking a bit corroded. I am sure they could be saved with a bit of effort, but I will also include a set of brand new bolts in a choice of gold or silver.

I have had two sets of these in the past. The silver set I sold on here last year for £1300, the other set are 15x8 fronts and 16x9 rears, and I'm in the process of fully polishing them (these will not be for sale!). Here is some inspiration:

I know the photos really don't do them justice, but I will update after a good polishing session! I am after £1300 ovno, with the tyres and spare parts. I would consider selling the tyres separately for £250, spare dishes are worth £160, centre caps are worth £40, and bolts £100.

The wheels can be collected from Brighton, Bath, or Winchester. I will send via courier as a last resort, but they will need to be securely wrapped and insured. Also happy for you to arrange your own.
