Car insurance ?

Its madness sometimes, year before last my friend bought back his Subaru he'd previously owned, getting quotes for that, it was CHEAPER to insure it, parked on the road with no alarm/immob, than in his garage with an alarm/immob.

Now I dont know why that is, unless becuase they dont want to also pay for a garage being broken into etc or what

Its because of the number of claims they get from people damaging their cars whilst parking them in their garage.
