And its hard for me to explain points about certain things as you need a huge basis of knowledge to understand - some people simply arnt interested in knowing, I'd be wasting my time explaining, if someone wants to know they'd have read up else where?

I have out some thought into my car, especially areas which I specialise in, and it's still all wrong, I know this, any maths I have done knows this, basic things such as spring rates purely based on length and typical loading suggests too, but it's still better than lots of stuff I see on here, it's massively frustrating to see lots of things when you're in the industry and not vent it, manufacturers put huge amounts of effort into cars, and some shit people do is just stupid, I know a fair few other people feel this too, are just a lot better at containing it.

If people want things explaining I'm happy to explain properly, but a lot of the time in not particularly enthusiastic towards answering things which have been answered two threads down the page.

Apologies though, appears you are massively opinionated on everything anyway, half of which I disagree with, but it's your opinion so I dont cry about it

Does the knowing each other come from off the Forum, or BECAUSE of the forum?

I know quite a few from the Forum and attending events like sping/autumn fest and polo show. But I guess it's just mostly on here or buying/selling stuff to people.

Problem with this forum is that people take everything too seriously.

People get offended far too easily on the internets.

The internet is a big, scary and mean place, your mothers should have taught you all this before you went off crying to them.

I would say because of the forum or Polo Show.

My involvement is via here, falling into people campsites at shows and pissing off the R32 OC by covering there shiny cars in soot

I've been on and off here for years (mostly just in the background reading)

But id say, of late, it has just become a bit to "moany" and (i hate to use this word) "Bitchy"

People with all the know how are to quick to shut down and piss over people who go "hey guys, I've just bought a polo and...."

So what if we get a few repeated questions?

I know we have to keep it tidy, but your going to get loads of people come on here looking for "will these 4x100 15" wheels fit my car" or "will this K&N filter make my 1.0 polo drive like a GTI" ... when i first joined, i asked those questions.

If i see them now, I'm happy to answer them, or point people in the right direction... if this place is not for that, then what is it for?

Otherwise its just a play ground for a closed group of mates with a "you cant play here" attitude to anyone else who

turns up and shows an interest.

As i say, over the years I've been here loads. sold loads of parts. Chatted to a fair few of you and met a handful of you in person. Its a (can be a) brilliant place to come. BUT i wouldn't say i felt part of a CLUB. As it seem the main ring of you guy on here are on first name terms, and i think this shows to people coming into the forum and i think that might put people off.....
