Why do people think discounts should apply for multiple/group buys ???? Everyone has to earn a living!

That's the way business has always worked. It is only recently that bartering has become frowned upon. Lets face it, in a capitalist economy and more importantly an economy that is struggling. Financial growth from large conglomerates right down to your sole traders is dependent on providing a competitive advantage. I would say knowing many carpenters and working in the construction industry myself you are at a sore disadvantage to your competitors for not offering a discount that is proportionate with the quantity of work a client provides you with. You are going to lose valuable income in what is an already struggling and extremely hostile industry to work in.

Maundy26 I would say yes but I have literally had mine done a few weeks back. However if you do get a group together then I know a few companies around this area that will give you a decent group rate. I am from Hendy, so about 20 minutes from yourself and I know there are a fair few of us from between Carmarthen to yourself. Check out HTT dude on facebook. that's one of the main dub groups round this neck of the woods. Small but tight group. Good bunch of guys.
