Yesterday I discovered that all the front bushes on my recently bought Mk3 1.0L Coupe' are all broken, some of them fall apart in your hand. So does anyone know of any good suppliers of front bush kits? Also what do you people feel is the best route to go down, in regards to poly bush vs standard factory bushes?

Depends what you want from the car to be honest, changing things is usually a gain in some elements and a compromise in another.

if you want comfort and dont mind changing bushs every few years (depending where you drive and how much) then stick with OE. if you like a stiffer harsher ride but better handling, braking and put poly bushs in and forget about em, then go with stiffer poly. i put poly in mine, but i drive with 40psi in my tyres for MPG and the ride is harsh. i noticed if you have good quality tyres thta will compliment the stiffer bushs nicely.

The standard bushes design isnt that complex at all in comparison to a lot of bushes being used these days, it's not really going to effect your camber or toe changes through suspension movement too much.

You'll have less compliance with poly, which is going to effect your ride quality, may also tighten up general front end response, OEM stuff should last if they're of decent quality and fitted correctly - like I say - depends what you want.

put some new arms on it ..chances are the ball joints are tired

in my opinion the inner bush isnt suitable to replace with poly as they're twisted how they sit , however if you feel like still want to upgrade you can get the outer in poly from ebay for not too much , i have these and they made a nice improvement
