ap suspension kit. Anyone running it?

Featured Replies

Right, looking into suspension for my MK2F polo (finally ). I have been considering a kit from one of the top brands, weitec, H&R, eibach, but those kits are all rather expensive, and out of my price range at the moment. I definately dont want a budget kit as i know from alot of others experience they are rock hard and crashy. I had a supersport kit on my old car, which wasnt terrible, but a little on the hard/ bouncy side.

The ap suspension is supposed to have a reasonable ride quality, similair to more expensive kits (according to the manufacturer). Does anyone on here have one of the ap kits fitted and could tell me how it rides in comparison to other kits you have had, or to standard if thats all you had before?

Help would be much appreciated.

Dan.

Me and a mate will be fitting the AP kit soon, if you can hang on?

Contact them & see what spring rates they come with? :)

I have managed since october 2011 with standard height so i will have no problem waiting  Is that to yours or your mates? Wouldnt mind a ride in it too see what its like in comparison to my old supersport kit, and obviously versus standard if you are at any shows i'm at :-)

I could do that, but the information would probably be useless too me. I dont know what the spring rates are for stock, or any other kit, or even understand spring rates very well

I do though :)

I do though :)

You don't, you just think you do.

Yes mate, you can have a ride. Its in a mates, the one who was at spring fest!

Although would kind of be pointless if the damping isn't matched to the spring rates
