Buying from boltmeup.com

Featured Replies

Right so i bought these - click me - from boltmeup.com on the 18th. So far nothings been delivered. Decided to give a quick call to check up on the order after the postman didn't deliver anything on monday and there was no answer. So i've tried calling all week just to have the joy of listening to the fun tune of a phone endlessly ringing. I emailed 3 days ago and well big surprise . . . no reply. Looking them up on google it seems people have bought from them for years with no issues, other people with the exact same problems i'm having. Has anyone on here dealt with them? And managed to get through to their ellusive customer support?

Could anyone confirm M10 x 80mm 1mm pitch is the right size for the lower rear shock? I'm probably just gonna try to get my money back through paypal so if anyone has a pair of those bolts in good condition up for grabs then please let me know. Could of got them from vwheritage but it said 3-4 week delivery and for some reason struggled to find that precise size with a 10.9 tensile anywhere else. Wish i'd just waited the 3 - 4 week delivery now . . . Hope you all enjoyed reading my endless complaining

I read a bunch of peoples comments saying they delivered quick and all. When you look at their ebay feedback click me they seem a bit like marmite. I hate marmite.

thats some pretty shonky feedback ...paypal should sort you out

Yeah should do, i reckon they wont get an answer from them and just simply refund me and leave it there. I hope.

I've bought from them a few times through ebay and one time they sent the entirely wrong sized nuts for what I needed and ignored any attempt to rectify it. On the whole OK but there's a chance something will go wrong. If you can buy the items you want elsewhere then do so

First time i tried buying from them, and the last now. But yeah i'm trying to find them somewhere else but vwheritage seems the only place and i'd have to wait 3 or so weeks according to their site, bit of a long wait considering i need them for my m.o.t. So this is becoming a plee to anyone who might have some usable lower rear shock bolts, only need the bolt head and thread, not bothered about the nut for it. I'd pay a few quid and postage obviously.

They're not a 1mm pitch anyway.

They're m10x1.5 IIRC

Ah i feel stupid now  Thanks for letting me know that makes life a whole lot easier. I read this thread when looking for a new nut Link and failed to read the part that says top . . . so i've been going about looking for a 1mm pitch bolt, Doh!

Thanks again.

Yeah completely standard size mate

M10x1.5 x 80mm 10.9 hi tensile which you can get from most engineering suppliers mate

M10x82 is OEM, but I've used 80mm ones too.

My face is a bit red after that mistake. Cheers for the help everyone.

Its not a captive nut so you could still use the M10x1.0 providing you have an M10x1.0 nut too.

True, ended up ordering the right bolts and have put them on the car and yet the bolt me up people haven't even replied to paypal yet, pretty sure if they keep doing this to people then paypal will stop letting them use the service, all seems a bit stupid really.
