Regrettably up for sale is my absolute gem of a turd.

This car is in absolutely fantastic condition for its age, as the previous owner will tell you ' very tidy car ' the car has covered a very low 153778 miles, and drives like it has done at least twice that. Having had approximately zero pounds spent on maintenance in the last 10 or so years.

The car comes with absolutely no service history whatsoever.

Bodywork:

Absolutely beautiful in moonstone blue ( at least 3 shades of ) the front bumper has been resprayed using a new technique known as ' gravel mottle ' this is to give the paint the texture of 60 grit sandpaper with absolutely no shine. The car boasts original patina, with a beautifully achieved dent on the rear ( would of been an art form to achieve ) along with another interesting original on the osr quarter. The front o/s has a lovely wing/ bumper combo scrape, which has been dutifully touched in to make the repair almost unnoticeable. The front bumper is wonderfully fitted with a nice gradual increase in gap from one headlight to the other. The wheels have at some point been refurbished by the well known bodywork artisan Stevie Wonder.

Interior:

The interior on this car really is a plush place to be, with limited edition 'lazy boy' gti6 seats, these were a limited run with one position on the drivers seat, reclined, this is for added comfort an the laying down position makes the car very easy to drive. The car features top of line auto rain sensitive wipers, climate control and aircon, none of which functions. The wipers will handily leave themselves in the centre of the windscreen, or anywhere they like ( except for the bottom of the windscreen ). This 306 boasts a top of the range Sony head unit ( circa 1751 ) that will work when it feels like it don't be too hard on the old boy, he is powering a set of professionally fitted high power 6x9 speakers in the rear parcel shelf.

Mechanically:

The maintenance history really shines through here, from the moment you first start the vehicle you are greeted by a wonderful symphony of whines, burbles knocks and bangs. Driving the car presents even more enjoyment with gloriously heavy steering that will delightfully knock just to let you know the wheels are still actually attached. You get a wonderful road speed related knocking, the back axle can only be described as perfectly broken, requiring nothing more than a full rebuild to put it right. The steering is a characterful gent, set up for fast road use, pulling hard to the right at all times to allow quick turn in on roundabouts, that is of course unless you're braking, at which point you'll be thrown in whichever direction you don't wish to go.

All 4 CV joints.

At least 3 bearings.

2 track rod ends,

Front wishbone bushes

Drop links

Top mounts

Differential

Rear trailing arm bushes

Rear axle mounts

Air con pump

Powersteering pump,

Auxiliary tensioners

Aux belt

Crankshaft pulley

The car comes with 12 months MOT , which was MOT'd under the new 'idgaf' legislation that lets through decats, deteriorated bushes and corroded brake lines.

The car also comes with 6 months tax.

Now, as for pricing, this car was bestowed upon me by a very generous member on the forum who swapped it with me for my polo GTI. Now of course I'm very happy with the swap for this ' very tidy ' , 'drives like 60k ' car which is why it is very sad sale for me. But I'm afraid my soul can't take anymore.

Given this, I'm looking to swap for another polo GTI, as immaculate as possible please, you won't regret it.

In case of a cash sale, a realistic amount I'm after is £1400.
