Welcome dude. You could colour code the bump strips and get gti grills and fogs. Led number plate lights make a big difference to the rear end at night.

Coilovers,

Adjustable drop links,

Roll arches.

You know it makes sence.

De-badge the rear....

P.S. what's the thing on the dash just left of the light switch?

John

I see you didn't go for the tdi. Really is the one to have if you must have a 9n.

Gti fogs and grille won't fit as suggested above. It was the later 9n3 model that came in GTi flavour. A nice drop and wheels looks good on any car. If you an find one, they did make a chrome edged grille which I think looks smart. The 1.9tdi sport came with colour coded bump strips and mirrors which you could transplant. Or even 9n3 mirrors with the indicators in would look nice

I kind of wish my Polo was silver rather than black now. Silver looks so smart!

looks like a good base dude! you can get the 9n GT rear lights which have smoked indicators!

but as said, some nice wheels and a drop always looks good!

Definite de-badge soon also it's like a dimmer for the lights on the speedo and the radio lights at night :)

Ordered some wheels :) Got some Audi tt competition wheels in anthracite grey look pretty good in my opinion.

Got to wait until next payday to get some coilovers :( might do my badges black. Does anyone know what kind of work it takes to colour code your bump strips yourself or is it better just to get it done at a bodyshop?

Thanks for the replies guys some good ideas :)

There's a thread about bump strips in the bodywork section. Have a browse, save repeating what's been said here. But how confident are you painting? M

IMO black badges don't look good. It's one of those I' need to mod my car but have no money' type things. But it's your car though, so go for it

TT comps are a good choice. What size tyres do they have?

Yeah the badges thing was a " I have no money and must do something" sort of mod my mate has a can of plastidip so I might try that and if I don't like it I can peel it off :)

Tires are 225/45 i think not to good with wheel/tire specs will they fit ok?

I am "ok" at painting so might have a go will have a look in the bodywork section now :) thanks for the reply
