MK3 1.0L K&N filter problems

Featured Replies

Can anyone help?

Fitted one of these K&N to my 1L mk3 polo a while ago it never ran perfect but it wasn't on the road so never got round to sorting the problem.

Now if i rev it then let off and rev again its like its struggling for air and judders. It not currently on the road so cant try it while driving.

Any ideas on what to do or where to start i put the original filter back on and it doesn't run very well now the K&N runs better until you rev let off and rev again.

Timing is all spot on, Plugs are all clean.

This is the filter. Any help would be great cheers Jake

Sounds like an air leak somewhere?

Check the rubber base gasket
