Hi!

So i picked this little car up from one of the lads i work with at the garage. It was his girlfriends car and they upgraded.He bought it in so me and him could give it a good clean prior to it being sold on. It was so filthy, and once i had it nice and clean i had to snap it up. Few pictures of it when it came in for a wash!

It was his girlfriends car and they upgraded. Cost me £450. It's on 82k, never had a Cambelt or a service in a long time. It has had the pedal box replaced and the gearbox refurbished along with a new clutch.

So first of all, i put a Cambelt on it and gave it a god thorough service. The fuel filter was so rotten, all it took was a firm stab with my screwdriver and it was punctured.

Got it home that evening and decided to t-cut out all the little scratches that its gathered over time.

Debadging it using fishing line..

Used a rag with a small amount of brake cleaner on it to remove excess glue and t-cutted to blend the different colour shades in

Next on the list was to de wiper it to give the back end of it a clean look. Stared by taking off the plastic scuttle on the boot lid. Took the wiper arm off from out side and undone the motor. Blocked the screenwash pipe up with a self tapping screw and folded it over itself a few times and clipped it together with a jubilee.

Used the rubber grommet that help the motor watertight through the glass. Cut it in half and placed it through the rear screen from inside out. Then got a top cap off of a push bike and a long bolt with a Penny washer on the other end with a nut and clamped it all tight.

Outcome of it - Ignore how dirty it is!

Next on my list was to get rid of the horrible front grill and replace it with a genuine GTI

Drove it like this for a while i was on the hunt for some coilovers. A mate of mine had a set of Custom KW's for sale so i went to pick them up, then up to my mates unit to get fitting!
