Hi I'm having a real bad day. Yesterday going home from pub, discovered my car is breaking really funny. So Found out i have a busted line.

Does anyone knows whats The part number for that line is ?

Looks like the exhaust has been hitting it, as it shakes about. Worn through the pipe.

So first you need to sort the exhaust, so it sits a good inch, preferably more, away from the pipe.

A garage can fit a section of pipe, they just unwind it off a roll and attach fittings, they have a tool to form the ends, they shouldn't charge much for this (i guess around £40 all-in).

You probably can get a pre-formed pipe from VW, nfi how much that'd cost though..

If you would rather do the job yourself, you can buy a brake pipe flaring kit from your local motor factor - You won't need the full set, as there are sizes in there that are not on your car.

As for the pipe itself, rather than buy the slightly cheaper 'bundy tube', which is zinc coated steel (and will eventually rust), you would be better with a 'kunifer' which is a copper based alloy and will last the life of the car (if the exhaust system doesn't rub on it!!)

DO NOT use plain copper tube, as this will work-harden and eventually fracture.

Allrite, thanks for advice. Exhaust was the cause, allready knew that. As te shape is left on it .
