Distributer Cap, Timing out .. Hellllllllllp

Featured Replies

Well basically at first my car overheated so done the whole process fixing that, but whilst doing it i snapped the sensor on the dizzy cap and had to replace the whole thing.. Because the car wouldent start without holding it in place so..Marked up the old 1 and put the new 1 in same place/angle but the car didt like it and was rough.. So just done it by sound for now.. But when I'm driving and change down a gear like 2nd or 3rd the idle will drop below 1 like its gunna stall sometimes .. Or when starting the car it was drop them go up then it sits in place..

So wanted to know do I just need to get the timing adjusted properly!?

Cheers
