Suggestion for the Forum:

Any chance of one of those maps like they have on frappr.com so you can see where all the forum users are? You'd be able to tell who was likely to be in the vicinity for a meet, or if someone was selling something in the for sale bit, where they were in relation to you, etc.......

(P.S. If you hadn't guessed, my geography knowledge is shit, so I'd NEED something like that....) ;)

External stickers for members with tints (or those getting tints).

Thanks.

Karl.

I second that. I think the frapper site would be usefull. I've noticed that there is already a Porka frapper site and Clubpolo one, Are they made up by actual members?

Suggestion for the Forum:

Maybe some sort of little chat room thing? dunno if that would be a possability?

-Chris-

some may not like to be on a frapper site due to giving away location of thier cars

had this problem on uk-mkivs

besides location is next to most peoples posts

theaa.com have a routefinder, so you can see how far away you are using that

chat room would take away the emphasis on the forum and as said many times, live chat is for msn.

just my 2pence worth

I think a different icon by topics that you have posted in and have had replies like follow-up stuff :)

I'm rubbish at remembering where i've posted things, and with some peoples useless titles I think it would be a rather nice feature. I'm sure trialsforum had this feature years ago. :)

EDIT: Why do I have "warn: (0%)" under my details on the left? Nobody else has it :( am I bad?

Rich you dont anymore. I do.

I am a naughty boy. Spank me steev-o, spank me :unibrow:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

What are they for

Enable the garage feature! :p

enable garage, and have a member search by location

There used to be a feature where, if you look at someone's profile you can find their recent posts.

Since the new forum was installed we seem to have lost that feature,

any way of enabling it again? :-)

Click on someone's name and it takes you to their profile. Then click the options menu in the top right and select the relevant option.

Ahhh

Never saw that button up there :paranoid:

Hey guys i dont think that you should be able to write comments about the gallery cars, it would just look smarter without,

and you can see what people think anyway by the rating they leave you

If you want to know what people think of your car then put it in the photo and video gallery.

Not one for the Club, but for the forum (Sorry - I still see the two as completely different entities - maybe that should be another suggestion - make it obvious that just posting on a forum is not the same as going to shows, meeting people and being a 'proper' club member???)

Make the FAQ section more obvious for the new people - or make reference to it in the joining email, as it seems the same questions are being asked now as they were 5 years ago!! Some do make the effort to search for answers, and I know it's the same on almost every forum, but having 3 or 4 questions a week about Golf engines into Mk3s is surely only adding to the admin nightmare that this forum must be to control????

I'm not sure if this options already available, but on my friends 306 forum which must use the same software, if you hover you cursor over the topic title a little window pops up showing the first post,

If this can already been done and i need to turn it on can someone tell me please

thanks

Useful part numbers thread? I often find myself on UK Polos looking for part numbers in the VAG parts section. I like to have the correct part number when I phone VW coz I don't trust them and then I know I am ordering the right part. I have quite afew now G40 orientated. Just a thought? Would also be handy for ordering from vag parts too unless of course you have ETKA.

I think a shoutbox would be pretty cool, only for club members though...

Useful part numbers thread?

also a list of part names in german (helps for ebay).

Some kind of method of 'flagging' threads so its easier to follow them? Just spent 5 mins searching for a thread that ended up 3 pages down :-(

this is similar to what I said about having a different 'new posts' icon for topics in which you have posted. :unibrow:

Suggestion for the ClubPolo Forum

How's about a newbie section where new members can say hello, introduce themselves and their car. Have seen it on a few other car forums that i frequent and it tends to take the bulk of the "I'm new" threads out of the main forum.
