Just a suggestion which I'm sure has been mentioned afew times but what about a for sale part of the forum that isnt polo or car related???

I mean I'm a member on afew forums and all seem to have a section for which you can buy things that arent related to what the forum was created for, I personally think that this would be beneficial to club members.

I think one argument for this was what about people joining just to post things that they have for sale, well in answer to that one, does it really matter???? If it benefits a member on here by them joining for that sole purpose then would that be a problem??

I for example from time to time as i knwo afew friends who are wholesalers com across some baragins which i believe members on here would benefit from, however i have nowhere that i can advertise these items!!! Just a thought

So to make a section in the members only? Thats a good idea. Think also there should be a section for none polo related stuff as iv seen golf bits for sale....dont understand why....but oh well

Also how about a notification email 15 days or so before your membership is due

Simple - stop answering them. They'll find the FAQ eventually. They only ask due to lazyness and impatience so it would work.

Hows about a new attribute for topics? 'Relevant Models' or something? So, when I new topic is started, perhaps there can be a list of all the polo models, and the relevant ones can be ticked. Then a search feature can be added where you select the models you want to view threads about. I have a 9N and it takes ages to sift through the 6N stuff to get to what I'm looking for. I don't think the search function responds too well to the search term '9N'.

Here's an idea, why not set up a " wiki " for all the faqs etc to supplement/replace/organise the technical forums?

I have an idea.. it may seem a bit extreme, but it can be watered down I'm sure..

How about only allowing "club members" to post new topics?

Or at least limiting the amount of new threads posted by "forum users" i.e. per week/month.

Seems a bit extreme I know, but surely if you want to use the bandwidth, then you should be contributing towards it.

May also stop lots of the same type threads and encourange people to use their google search.

May also filter out the amount of "pointless" threads posted by "forum users".

Fair enough if you have paid to use the forum, but if your on the forum for owt posting the same questions and threads that have no purpose other than help me I'm insecure about what people think about...

This could lead to other threads going majorly off topic, meaning more moderating is required.. but i'd be happy to assist as I'm sure others would?

that a good idea we have new member threads more than twice a day

we need the members off topic back to :( i know why its been stop but abusive members accounts should be suspended etc

A Club Polo widget for smartphones would be a good way to keep in touch on the move and maybe get some new members from the android market? Or a Club Polo theme where we can insert a pic of our own Polo onto the main template?

Id like to see a Random Ebay finds section (with relevance to polo's) or somewhere were we can list suppliers (petrol tanks etc) or garages and review the service.

I think it would be a good idea to have a trade section for non-car related things, just so I don't have to put things on ebay and get charged for selling stuff I dont want anymore......
