I know what you're saying, but to be fair the Polo Show was nearly four months ago

And the mk8 has been out for ages, plus it's been a very long time since there were only 10,000 registered users.

The figure now is nearer 40k.. although it's hardly realistic

i'm not expecting things to be done as soon as we suggest them but we've had more than 10k members in all the time i've been a member and the polo show has been and gone, and is on its way back round again!

I'm new but on peugeot106...... if you ever wrote on somebody's thread/blog etc you became subscribes automatically and everytime it was updated my another post you were informed. does that happen on this web site, if not its a nice feature helps you remeber what youve wrote on e.g someones progress blog you want to keep an eye on or a for sale thread

Yes we do. Its called ' Enable email notification of replies ' you can tick the box or you can set it up to do it by default in the control panel,

to save a bit of time..sellers location in the topic title?

especially for dollection only,would save getting excited about something only to click on it then find out its 340 miles away

A Couple of things :)

1st in the for sale section is ther any chance of splitting it up to specific models or group the models by an age range that people are selling them for so it makes it easier to find for example mk2 shocks, or something like that as sometimes it isnt in the description what car its for just makes things abit more specific to certain people? :)

Annnnd second become iphone native soooo I can be on the forum on my phone without going through safari as its a niggggghtmare! lol :p

Gets annoying looking at (just an example I've picked up on tonight) a thread titled, XMAS BARGAIN, to be shown a link to gumtree, to click the link and find a pissing Corsa!

That's fair enough, I know you have a hard enough time keeping up with everything else on the forum and a classified has to have a price. They will be easier to spot if its made a rule to put it in the title though which helps buyers and the moderators out.

or you could do it as a form that you can fill in. So you have to put a price as its a required field when posting ?

the advert age would be useful because its in the same format as the other threads etc

i have 2 suggestions. 1 of them i'm not sure if it's been suggested in here before.

1 - have seperate forums for different polo models, i.e one for 6n's, one for 9n's etc.

2 - i had MAJOR problems signing up and getting activated.

I was able to register on the forum fine, and was able to "validate" using the link in my email but then after this - i wasn't activated to be allowed to post by a mod/admin. I tried to send an email from the "my assistant" section --> contact administrator, but the email address forums@clubpolo.co.uk kept coming back telling me it was an invalid address. i had no other means of becoming activated apart from paying to be a club member - which i have done.

i can''t imagine how many other people have fell into this loop and are still unable to post/see certain sections of the forum - i.e. for sale section etc

Get iPhone, windows and blackberry native so we can use the tapatalk app on iPhone to browse the forum. So much more ease of use, edition38 are on the band wagon and I can say it's so much more simple to use and the load times are much much quicker. It takes one of the mods less than 10mins to sign up the forum to tapatalk for free. Here's the link guys. We kinda know about this one. All new people who sign up are manually validated by us. This is because we have a big spam problem at the moment. But sometimes we can't tell who is spam and who isn't. Currently we have well over 100 users signing up to the forum per day. so it’s rather person intensive and we air on the side of caution.

Well the new forum software that we will be getting is better on the smart phones but I think tapatalk could be worth it. I'll see what we can do! :)

Nice one mate as I know quite a few People that are using it for iPhone and are on edition. There's over 200+ Vw groups from around the world signed up so mush be a good thing. It just simplifys he use of the forum while mobile.

I was just wondering about service parts, as there isnt anywhere on here for those kind of parts in bulk as a set. So maybe another section for a trader to open stating the right Plugs, leads, filters, etc... everything for a service for the different specs of each Mk. Then maybe high spec and the cheapest seperated? Just an idea if anyone can get those parts.

And if not maybe even a seperate subforum with part numbers to get them from VW?
