yeah thas fair enough, but when your doing something on a different tab it would be useful dont you think?

I can see your point .. but what your asking for is a forum software related its not something we can actually do unless there is a specific add-on that does that function.

20 off the track day? not bad!! yeah I'm not saying about the discounts, there great, just general forum use :) the extra inbox space is handy though! even though mine keeps resetting every night and saying its like 130% full

Yeah, that happens with all club members. Basically the forum kicks all the club members down to forum user, then reads the list in the membership system and makes everyone who's a paid member on that day a club member on the forum. It's not ideal, but it happens relatively quickly, and adds the members who have paid that day and kicks out the tightwads who haven't

I was wondering why that was happening to me, was really annoying when I was trying to post in the members only sections

Any chance the Christmas logo can be altered to something more seasonal?

Easter eggs leant against the logo with a rabbit at the side maybe?

:-D

not digging the new addition of having the first post in a thread at the top of every page!

in build threads mainly... gets annoying after a while having to scroll through it on every page

its not too bad on threads like this, but build threads its gay, maybe thats something to concider? lol

Maybe making the wanted section for parts only and not for lazy people who want a car and cant be arsed to look on the relevant bit.

As stephen said in another thread:-

"I think maybe if there was a mod/admin introduction thread, Might clear things up for people"

I think its a good idea user name pic job on forum etc so people will know who they are for shows etc if they dont already :)

Jake

Most people know who I am already Jake

I know you John but no other mods or admins and I've been on here since 06 I think it would help members new and old especially for shows/ events so people can recongise whos running CP.

Still seen nothing on this...

Kiss?? Did I miss something.

I'm more background scenes on the team so you prob won't see me alot but I try to be on here and help where I can.

I'm cool for having pictures up but no using my pic to bash over unless asked for permission. :disgust:

i think we should actually start a topic in the club house or something to put faces to names. as theres alot of people i haven't met, and even the ones i have i cant remember what they look like sometimes

A swaps section? Saves people in the for sale section cluttering it with a price of £100000 because they want a swap

Don't know if this has been thought of but what if in the classifides area there was a coloum to say where the bits are located.

Means you don't have to look in the tread to find out.

You could also make it so that you can't list the ad without putting a location in.

I think it would be helpful and probably reduce posts about people asking where stuff is located.

Maybe another coloum which gives a  or  to postage????

Could you make some more club polo stickers. Maybe different colours? Different logos etc? Cheers. :-D

my suggestion.. stop fannying around with making a clubpolo shop website and sort out membership packs 1st...

Yeah, the shop is a good idea... but like... pretty sure every single member on here has been waiting 1yr+ for their packs lol.

The way we used to handle membership packs was a total ballache, to the point where it was easiest to write about 100 membership cards and envelopes out by hand every month, so staff (myself included) used to start doing it with great intentions, and get utterly sick of it, backlogs happened and never got sorted. It was a bad way to be running a club, and we can only apologise.

The good bit is, I'm hoping that's now old news and it's sorted. I spent quite a while earlier this year chucking the long-arsed way we used to do memberships and working out a far easier way. We launched this in March, I sent 716 packs out between March and the end of September to test the system. Having ironed out the bugs, we're at the point now where one person can do a month's worth of packs (normally upwards of 100) in a couple of hours, which is an absolute dream compared to how it was.

In September, I handed the membership packs over to Cymro, who's been doing a great job on them.

As far as I know, he' up to date to the 1st December, any that haven't been sent between October and the start of December are in hand (that's a very small number).

We've not posted any this month because we didn't want them getting lost in the Christmas post, but I'm told the bulk of this month's ready to go in the post.

I've coverring sending the packs out for anyone who joins or renews in January 2013, I'll probably do two batches, for 1-15 Jan, and then for 16-31 Jan, and post them shortly after the end of each period.

So, with that problem sorted, we've been looking around at what else the club used to do and should be doing better. We used to have a fairly good shop, so we're looking at getting that back where it was, and bringing some more useful stuff to it. Mark Crox has been doing a great job of this, and it's not taken anyone away from doing memberships because Cymro has those covered, with myself to assist if needed.

Yeah, the shop is a good idea... but like... pretty sure every single member on here has been waiting 1yr+ for their packs lol.

The membership packs are begin done by both Ceri and Steve and as far as I am aware Nov 2012 packs have been done are are ready to be sent out. There might be a members who joined/renewed before this who haven't got there for 1 reason or another but they are being dealt with. So I disagree with your comment that every single member has been waiting over a year for their packs. I had mine within 4 weeks of renewing!

I deal with the club shop stickers and as we currently had a few different coloured stickers laying around and tax discs it was easer for me (and better looking) to put them into a shop format rather than code the HTML required to put them for sale on the web page. It's also better in the long run as we would like to expand the things that we can offer.

OOOOooooooo :unibrow:

I never got my card, gsf denied me discount, c*nts

GSF is a interesting one and I'll be speaking to them when they get back after Christmas. We get the discount via the ABVWC which we are members/just renewed but they say that one of their special GSF cards is required for a discount. But we will get it sorted one way or another.
