by far the best ida yet with a translator!! i'm sure many people on here dont use the german ebay due to the fact its in german and cant understand. i know i dont.

I think that is a must to be honest.

Maybe there could be a way members can subscribe to a PM mailing list where the sponsors send out a PM about new stock.

I second that, also you could click a tab to see your posts you made as well which was very useful.

Click on member's user name > when the page loads click on 'Profile Options' at the top right > list of options will appear one of those are to view members recent posts

Hi,

Due to the huge number of posts in the Knowledge Base section it has become very time consuming to research any particular topic and this has led to many questions, and answers, being repeated many times, and will only get worse as time goes by and Club Polo continues to grow.

It would therefore be of benefit to all to be able to narrow down the search process by expanding the number of search topics.

My suggestion is as below-

Wheels and Tyres

Suspension

Brakes

Engine

Transmission

Exhaust

Bodywork

Interior

I.C.E

Electrical

Lighting

Insurance

Paperwork

I do not know if this is possible, but it would definately make things easier.

What do you think.

hey all

just watched the gumball again wich set me thinking....

we should all organise a polo type gumball!

do 1 end of the country to the other :) see how many polos we could get involved, obivusly the crazyness of the gumball might not be represented by all (hard shoulder driving etc etc)

but meh crossed me mind and seemed like a laugh

but..... I'm probably just dreamin again lol

Think the suggestion of a shoutbox or chat room as already been mentioned but i think its a good idea. The forum over the past few days has seen a few pointless topics and its pushed the other topics to the back of the pages. I'm all for having a laugh but the general annoyance of checking you are post for answers and realise they are in page 8 coz everyone is busy chatting usless non formative stuff. Think it would cut out alot of arguements and pointless posts. Just a thoughtfull suggestion.

I have a suggestion,

that when a member sells a car that is advertised on club polo, that the post is taken down, or there is some way of rking that the car is sold, with out having to go in to the post to find out.

If the sell posts up to say it has sold then i always try to lock the post

I am currently looking to buy a Mk3 gt and having checked the cars for sale section quite regularly i find it quite annoying the lack of detail alot of people put into the ads. mayby its just me gettin frustrated at not finding my idea motor.. But i think it would be a good idea to have a template of at least the minimum and most important details of a car.. just like the members gallery has which is well laid out and shows people exactly what the car is about..

I find myself always having to ask people the same questions over and over again in Private messages regarding mileage etc.. when this could be easily avoided if people put the relevant details into the adds!!

Sorry rant over lol :-D least i got that off my chest.. Just something for the Moderators/admin to think about.. Cheers Ross

You could put a sticky at the top of the forsale forum which tells people how construct an advert. Even lay it out so all they have to do is copy and paste...then fill in the blanks.

Can we have a seperate section for people to post links to youtube videos and the like please? I'm really getting sick of trawling through all the threads that are just links to yet another video of someone driving a polo badly.

Cars for sale Suggestion...

Could you not split the cars for sale section up in to Mk's

ie:

MK3

MK4

MK5

others ect.

it would make it alot easier for people like myself who knows which model i am after and have to sit and sift through the for sale pages to look for the right model.

also something needs to be done about when cars are sold, cause the posts dont always get locked out for a while and the seller doesnt always put sold up on the board and you have to mess about PM'ing them.

Being a member of Club Polo is more than being on the board. Let's have some ideas for the actual club!!

The board itself has gone through loads and loads of changes over the years, its never gonna please everyone. Personally, i would like to see a n00b section and yeah, I would go in it and say hello.

Made this suggestion already in off-topic section. I think it would be a good idea to have a club polo calander printed, including the 'best' cars as voted by us. I think people would buy them, i definately would. They could possibly even make some money for the club!!

I'm thinking it would principally be for technical advice, but could basically be a Polo encyclopaedia, to which anyone could contribute.

Anyone think that would be a good idea?

Yes that'd be awesome! Would save searching through forums for info. that is already known by people. Would be SO good. Especially combined with how to's. Would def. contribute to that as much as I could.

Suggestion: Some sort of system where people can rate buyers/seller? Maybe a thread where peoples names are listed in the top post and comments/ratings can be added? Might help people know who they are likely to be able to trust...help with buying/selling safety a little? Or maybe beside "club member" on the left you could have "approved seller" for people who receive good feedback?
