Could the for sale section then cars be split into all the marks of cars, i.e mk1-mk7.

Make it easier to shop/view then.

Create a facebook group? Would without a doubt draw some more people into the forum, anyone agree?

Plus, i noticed a group called "i love my VW polo" or something similar to that and I'm pretty sure that groups into the thousands so I'm guessing if they see a more "official" polo group they'll join it too.

Cheers

Alex

Take a leaf out of cliosport.net's book. Signed up two days ago, received a very professional membership pack today. A4 sized folder with a welcome letter, glossy flyers, nice vinyl cut sticker...which I'd expect for £5...but because it's £10 to join you also get a very nice tax disk holder and key ring. £10 prob. wouldn't work on CP but the format of the membership pack and speedy delivery may be welcomed.

2 days delivery, I'd love to be able to do it. However, I startted doing the posting out with a backlog and have still got one. I'm hoping to be on an even keel with these by the end of the year.

Worth bearing in mind that CP membership gives you 10% off at GSF (yeah, cynics would say when you get the card, doing what I can guys), which pretty much pays for the visit in one trip up there and an average MOT failsheet.

Yup no doubt it's good value (get discount on CS at various places too I believe) but some room for improvement. Their membership card is even plastic :o

Not sure who they use for printing but I presume it's a big company that offer an all in one package for good money, might be worth investigating for future years.

We use cardboard ones because they are easy to write on and they only last for a year then they need binned.

I find the 'for sale' section very frustrating, it would be great if there was some way of easily finding where cars/parts are located. Maybe there could be a compulsory 'location' part in the titles in the for sale section? so you dont waste time clicking on every single post in your search. I expect that this has come up before?

eg.Mk1 Polo LS 1977

location-Birmingham

Can there some kind of way to thank users who sell/buy from each other, so that when a buyer wants to buy from a seller again he/she knows the rep of the seller. I'm not saying full ebay style feedback or something. Just a way to thank seller/buyer for good business. If a noob like me, can be difficult to know who to trust on here when sending money. This club is invaluable to me as a noob to Polo's and just general motoring 1st car worries, answered numerous of my worries. would be nice to thank someone :) spread some love

just an idea.

I thought I had already done that but it turns out I've only done it in the parts for sale sections, not the cars for sale part. I'll add that to cars for sale a bit later on.

As of late I've been deleting ads that don't meet up to the rules that have been put in place. Hopefully this will encourage people to put the right information in and read the post at the top of the forum that say "**** RULES OF TRADING - READ BEFORE POSTING ****"

I have also added a template for people to use when selling there car but for some reason no one seems to use it. I don't know why because its the best way to sell your car. If all the info is there in a easy to read layout its better than one big block of text with bits missing that people need.

I agree. Why do people still miss out basic things like price and location?! but what I'm suggesting is to put the location in the main title, if you get me? maybe just in the cars for sale section. So instead of a sub-title its the location of the car,

eg...

MK4 polo 16v black.

Birmingham.

instead of...

MK4 polo 16v black

bbs rims,coliovers,£1100.

Probably being suggested before but

FAQ section and DIY section

Both of them subforums for what MK Polo

why no response to this suggestion? it would stop the same questions coming up all the time!

WE WANT A DIY SECTION!

The home page needs updating :paranoid:

Still got the advert for the rolling road day in January on it.

And it says there's over 10,000 registered users.. it's more than double that now 8-)
